Ha true. As long as I've attempted to lower expectations. I do like the touring bike way of being a bit shit, to avoid breaking down in the middle of nowhere trying to download a new Di2/eTAP sprocket etc...

Do like the look of these Stanforth bikes

I spoke to that guy a Bespoked a couple of years ago. Nice frames, they're pretty much identical to the old Saracen Kili Flyer/Conquest (which is no bad thing); which makes sense as he's the guy's grandson or something. Nice modern tubing too, and the prices aren't as high as I remember.

Yesterday's ride which included more singletrack than I bargained for was tough on the road bike (& my arse), rear wheel now needs truing. Trusty CdF to the rescue...

Brother, All City, and Kona have some decent frames for those purposes. AC just released a flatbar Macho Man, lacking in mounts though.

Flat bar Salsa Marrakesh frameset was going cheap on Triton recently, not sure they've still got any though
