Posting for a friend who is looking for a cheap and cheerful bike to commute, budget around £200 and she is 5ft 1.
She doesn't want a MTB, doesn't want a racer. So probably a hybrid or something. She thinks she needs gears but if the right bike comes up, I could convince her to go singlespeed, but not fixed wheel.
