All of those managers went to some of the biggest teams in their native lands, and in Europe and made a name for themselves. With access to resources and talent that make most managers envious. I'm pretty sure if you dropped Pochettino into any of those situations he would have won stuff as well. Spurs aren't those clubs. Neither are Espanyol or Southampton.
We could talk money, spending power, the accumulation of wealth at big clubs, which makes it difficult for smaller teams to win when their best players are being picked off year after year. And I'm sure @Markyboy will chime in referencing Leicester sooner or later.
On the one hand I'm flattered you've placed Pochettino in the same bracket as those managers above, but also pissed because you've taken nothing into account about the teams those managers took over, the resources they had to hand, and the leagues they were playing in at the time.
Anyway it was Wenger's time to go, I always enjoyed Arsenal playing at their best with him in charge, as much as any non rabid spurs fan can anyway. Especially with us finishing behind them all the time. He should have got out sooner, and I wonder if he'll head back to France for one last hurrah, or if he's done with football for good. Really do hope he doesn't become the angry old man in the stands, whose gaze the cameras always search for and applies pressure to the managers that come after him..
