Sad news about Rihs. He clearly loved the sport and wasn’t put off after sponsoring Phonak.

At least he finally got some success via GVA last year. The team got a bit unlucky with some of the big signings and supposed great prospects. Still not sure how Gilbert’s poor form during the BMC years can be explained.

Would you consider Cadel's 2011 TDF win and two TTT World Championships in 2014 and 2015 to be secondary to GVA's success last year?

Oh yeah. I always forget Evans was at BMC when he won the Tour.

He rode the Tour of the Basque Country, not that you would’ve noticed. I assume he’s been ill, there was a big gap between riding Algarve and the Basque Country, at a time where he’d normally do Paris-Nice or Tirreno.

Bennett was second at Tour of the Alps today. Looked like he was going well.
