  • always been fine in Petit New Standards & Petit Standards, the Norse ones were something else!

  • I got some petit new standard and they are ridiculously narrow at the ankles. Might be worth a look?

I'm going to swap them for some petit standard.

  • Thanks whoever it was who recommended Twins dry cleaners on D'Arblay Street for repairs. Can't be bothered to read back. Just picked up my PBJs from their annual service.

  • I can never find this thread. Always search for denim.

Anyway, rivet and hide have a sale on. If they've anything left in your size.

  • denim + lfgss into google

  • any suggestions for fixing a broken button on jeans? my new Sage jeans, one button just came apart. I looked on amazon for replacements (US) but they mostly seem to be plastic crap

  • Get another button that's the right size?

  • Need some new black jeans to replace a pair of well worn Acne Ace Stay Cash.

Where should I be looking for a similar fit, max £140?

Going to try some APC Petit STD stretch later.

  • If you can make it to Liberty this weekend they have 20% off menswear which should Acne, APC & Edwin Ed-80's which all may fit the bill

  • Awesome! Was heading there shortly anyway. Thanks for the heads up

  • got some iron heart 888s. nice and long in the leg.
sized down in the waist as advised, bit tight still! better loose more weight.
step above anything else I've ever had, probably can't go back to 14oz now.

anyone want some APC new standard in 29w, just had crotch repaired. Measure 31".

  • @Chalfie - still interested?

    reposting if not...
Anyone interested in some Natural Selection Chinos? Bought them at a sample sale but I prefer a tapered leg so never ended up wearing them.

    According to the review below
    https://denimology.com/2011/08/matt_style_-_natural_selection_shun_chinos

they're 10oz Kuroki Japanese selvage twill cotton
30 inch waist. Straight leg. £50 posted

  • My 21oz Iron hearts are broken in now, they're incredibly comfortable. Amazing.

  • I bought a pair of 555’s in mid-Feb from Rivet&Hide and other than the initial tight waist discomfort over the weekend I bought them have found them to be incredibly comfy and nowhere near as rigid as APC or similar starchy denim. They seem to age beautifully so I’m looking forward to seeing how they develop over time

  • Yeah waist was annoying, I perhaps should have gone 1 bigger, but I was between sizes and went down. . But the material is beautiful, and like you say so soft.

  • They still available?

  • Nice to read that the 21oz IH denim softens up, have a super black denim jacket on its way to me at the moment

  • Jackets take forever to soften up. I have one that is four years old and still feels stiff. I just don't wear it every day like jeans.

  • They also don't get as much friction wear from sitting down etc

  • It’s going back. Looks great but there isn’t much freedom in the shoulders so I won’t be able to get near a bike with it comfortably. Sleeves are also a bit too long, even reaching. Should definitely have done a little more research, hadn’t even realised it lacks hand warmer pockets. May give the modified type III a go

  • I spent quite a bit of time looking for an old two pocket Type 3 when I was over, had no luck at all... I was very surprised to see I could pick up an OG Big E for only £60, needed a size bigger than I could find tho'... Shame...

Gonna turn it into a battle jacket (don't ask) so didn't wanna spend a fortune, considering using my Real McCoy's Type 2 instead... Doesn't get worn much out here, need to have a long hard think about that... 😳
