It doesn't clearly explain regions and areas in the pricing structure.
Or did you just get all?
Does it have an App? -
• #978
It has an app. You could buy loads of regions individually for about £3 each which didn't seem to add up to a great deal or £30 for worldwide which it didn't impress me enough to pay.
You do get one region free so you can get London to test it out.

Can the elemnt bolt be mounted on the out front mount backwards? I have a handle bar bag which requires my current Garmin to be mounted so the out front mount is backward towards my stem.
-
• #980
It could be mounted that way technically but the screen would be upside down. I think what you're describing could probably be done with a normal elemnt, though

I was in Paris last month at a workshop and discovered that one of my colleagues is an ex-Garmin engineer. He is incredibly talented, so it was interesting to hear his views on Garmin’s software capabilities, albeit a brief overview. I’ll see him again next month, gonna buy him a beer and get the full story.

got the elemnt. Can't say it's a great start. The app is SO slow, it's impossible to get the pages set up.
Weird. The device itself seems OK to start, slow to turn on though.
-
• #983
And then we kill him, right?
-
• #984
What are you running the app on? ios or android? Presume mobile, is there desktop version?
-
• #985
iOS
-
• #986
Just tried mine, the app (on Android) runs fine. No lag when selecting pages, etc.
-
• #987
Runs fast on my mates iOS, fwiw
-
• #988
Ah, you're on your own then sucker :P
-
• #989
Yeah I think it’s an issue my end. Just not sure what.
As if it were everyone. Then they’d be out of business.Weird.
The device itself is nice. And the simplicity of setting up pages good. Liking it. Time for a ride.

Oh. Ffs.

Back in the box it goes.

SRM shit.
-
• #992
Re-order a Karoo?
-
• #993
does anybody has spare speed and cadence sersor that happy to part with? if yes talk to me
-
• #994
Nah I’m not a beta tester. SRM works just fine with Garmin, so what’s wahoos excuse?
-
• #995
The first part (talented developer) fits with my guess (from a long time Garmin user and a long time (non-Garmin) software developer) with the way they work.
I can imagine them having lots of ideas but management trying to keep things moving way too fast and focusing on shiny new features (Strava Segments! Music!) rather than keeping an eye on stability or usability (who needs apps that can sync with watches!)
-
• #996
This is the problem I ran into when last time Garmin fucked me and I wanted to jump ship. There's nothing out there yet that actually competes with a working Garmin.
-
• #997
I’m going to call them. Honestly wtf.
And I’ll ask about why my app is so slow. My software is up to date and all that bullshit.
-
• #998
More screen estate, bigger battery and that's about it I think.
-
• #999
More screen estate
I'm quite sure they run the same resolution.

• #1000
That may be but "The most obvious difference is that the original ELEMNT is larger than the BOLT. This means it has a larger screen size: 2.7 inches versus 2.2 inches on the BOLT."
https://www.sportivecyclist.com/wahoo-elemnt-vs-elemnt-bolt/
I thought the 500/520 didn't have maps and this one does? If it doesn't then fuck them all.
