Hi. Last summer me and my girlfriend spend over a month cycletouring from Tokushima to Tokyo. You’re gonna love Shikoku - the most magical and beautiful place I’ve been in. Eastern part is less populated and nicer then the Weatern part. One thing I’d hardly recommend to everyone:
Kuretaishomachi Market
Taishomachi Kure, Nakatosa, Takaoka District, Prefektura Kōchi 789-1301,
Japan
https://goo.gl/maps/yZwUyvJw4e52Kuro is a small fishing village. We spend the night camping just outside and visited Kuro Fish Market in the morning, just when it opened. There we had the best and freshest tuna in all of Japan. The fishermen even took us to the back of his store and let me prepare tatami (flamed tuna) by myself. This was the best experience. Also if you want to visit Kuro you should take route 320 by the Ocean coast and then follow this road:
Unnamed Road, Kure, Nakatosa-chō, Takaoka-gun, Kōchi-ken 789-1301, Japonia
https://goo.gl/maps/RNTyPWJeQtoSeriously this was then nicest stretch of road in all of Shikoku. I love Japan and I’m gonna cycle through it again I’m sure. The roads are smooth and people are polite. You’re going to have time of your life. Good luck!
Ohh, and:

Looking for a pair of silver risers. 25.4 or 26mm clamp, relatively wide with a little bit of rise and sweep. Not looking to spend loads of money. Does anyone have anything that fits the bill or have any recommendations for anything that does?

PX had a selection of 25.4 silver Nitto risers in their recent sale. I paid £25 for mine but some were as low as £15 I think.

Just get a cheap cromo bar from Zoom/Pyramid/ whatever they’re branded as these days.

I had a look at them. None were as wide as I'd like but might be the best bet!

Bought another Max frame for a neo retro project. The paintjob looks quite ugly but it’s a full max set with matching forks and the price was good. The geometry is a bit odd: 54c-t with a 55c-c top tube. 55 is my preferred length for the tt but 54 for the st is a bit short. I‘m thinking about either a budget option: tiagra 4700. With the 10 speed casette, I could use a cheap pair of used handbuilt wheels for a traditional look. The second option would be 105 or sram rival with something along the lines of mavic aksium.

Nice, I also have a JJ Max Prestige. From my bit of research i did I think they were made by Tecnotrat in Italy and rebranded... Geometry doesn’t sound that odd, guess it’ll put you in a slightly more aggressive position? Quite typical for a race frame :)!

Anyone know the length of the spokes for the i23-25 x Rattlesnake El Guapo that PX sold awhile back?

Got this 653 Dave Lloyd functional thing on the go. Just chucked parts on to see what the fit is like and it looks promising. Plan is to build into some kind of tourer, did have plans for Nitto stem and rando bars but the familiarity of the compacts is calling.
The Campy headset that came with the frame has no bearings, anyone know if 1" headset bearings are interchangeable? If so will scavenge them from the Tange one fitted.

This looks awesome, love these types of frames!
anyone know if 1" headset bearings are interchangeable
Hard to say, I have had mixed success mixing bearings from different 1” headsets together.. especially if they’re caged. Might as well try it and see what happens.

Careful! What year t1? (Should have a sticker on the steerer) younger t1s don’t have the chainstay clearance. My 2006 frame runs them fine though.

@FettyWhipskid ran omniums on his T1 IIRC
Black Omnomnoms seem to work with red or blue T1s, not sure about other combinations.
