Then once up Maze Hill and Blackheath I seemed to be tagging along with people in BC gear half my age... They all seemed happy for me to tag along. I said - 'if you drop me it's cool...., if you stop I will keep going... so please don't take offence' They seemed fine with this and I was either with them, behind them or in front of them all the way round. Big up to all those who got the fashion statement just right that day in Brixton Cycles kit !!!
The character building weather continued and continued and then continued, but this is the ride the weather cannot spoil. I didn't meet a single person not smiling...... I then returned back to SW9 to the White Horse finish... I was pretty er ahem rinsed in more ways than one after the South Babylon-don alps....
