It seems Oakley are pretty accommodating, I have Frogskins too, and although it's not an option anywhere on the website they were happy to make me clear prescription lenses in Frogskins.

Just get the same frogskins as me and @NurseHolliday
Nobody will be able to tell us apart.

I know select specs will reglaze them but they will be Johnny regular lenses, not Oakley
I keep meaning to get my Jawbones done for riding in, might have to get the old nonce glass. -
• #581
I looked at Frogskins when my lovely crystal Oliver Peoples snapped in two, could not believe how shit the quality was... They felt like cheap £5 jobs off the market...
-
• #583
yeah and if you shop around that's about what they cost...
Half the reason I get them is they're replaceable without breaking the bank and nice and light
-
• #584
They are fucking terrible tbh. I wouldn't get them again, and I definitely wouldn't get them without the "fancy" Oakley lens.
-
• #585
Although they're surprisingly durable. I've had much more expensive sunglasses that have broken at the first sniff of a fall or a bending scenario.

Blimey. That could be a fair whack towards laser eye.
A mate of mine got hers zapped for 3 grand, and got it on 0% finance over a couple of years.

I am tempted tbh.

What contact lenses did you try?
-
• #589
the daily ones

• #590
Have you got Astigmatism and if so, did you try the appropriate Toric lenses?
-
• #591
Astigmatism
Nope just -2.25 both eyes.
-
• #592
Whoah, much cheaper out here - depending on conditions, about $1000 C per eye.

Wife had laser eyes done a couple of years back.
Her night vision is shite and really sensitive to day light.
Doesn't regret it per se, but often moans about it. -
• #594
That's interesting - not heard about impact on night vision which would be the main reason I'd have considered it. Terrible night vision. Used to be brilliant when I was younger and now shot to shit. Was hoping it was largely a focus issue. When I have money again (about 18 years assuming no more children) I'll see how far the tech has advanced.

Where's good for cheap Rx sunglasses?
I need something swift and cheap until I can afford something better -
• #596
glasses direct have been pretty good for me
-
• #597
Clip on shades FTW!
I really need new specs, Hoping they’ll fit my next pair when I get them...
bit of a bodge but work pretty well. I found that the prescription sunglasses I bought looked terrible, the lens options were so limited. And I couldn’t get them thinned
-
• #598
I do the same ^ though my clip ons were designed for the pair.

Prescription jawbreakers are here, they look a bit weird but work phenomenally well, cant believe I didnt do this years ago.

Was that via RXsport? Do they look weird on (well, weirder than normal jawbreakers)? And what's the advantage over normal specs - less wind coming round the edges?
ah cool, will give them a call and have a look.
If I were to get just one lens to use around the year what should it be? The orange-y yellow one?Actually just gonna get clear for now.
