These problems from a glowing review. Doesn't sound too bad but I'd have to try the shifting to see if I could deal with the changes. I don't like the idea of having to charge one thing after the other - that ain't gonna happen if I'm asleep in a hotel with 3hrs to spare. Is there any way to charge them in situ?
"Front shifting is the slowest of the big three electronic groups, and not as forceful/clean as Di2 or EPS, especially with third-party chainrings. Two: Single-handed shifting is difficult, given the left/right paddle shift action we’re such big fans of. We’ve been used to eating with our left hand, and being able to go up/down the rear cassette with our right with other groups. And finally, the included battery charger affords a single cradle for the eTap system’s two power units, requiring the user to swap batteries for a full charge. A more convenient setup would be a dual-cradle charger."
Do the satellite buttons take the same batteries as the shifters? CR2032?
£1k is a bit more spendy than Di2 (£700-800?):

But isn’t this the real comparison?

The charger isn’t very big at all, probably 6 cm x 2.5 cm x 2 cm deep.
Shifting is quick enough for me, never felt it was too slow. They do satellite buttons that you can put on TT bars.
I bought the shifting system only version, so shifters, front and rear derailleurs and charger, which, with discount, was just over £1k.
