I’m going to stand up for ‘Isle of Dogs’ here, really enjoyed it as did my 12 and 14 yr old kids. I guess it depends on your expectations? Stunning stop frame animation and the expected Wes Anderson attention to detail and mid century aesthetic. My favourite dog movie since ‘Old Yeller’ and to be fair, that had a lot of tear moments.
Isle of Dogs, nice to look at but so painfully twee. Drinking game: take a swig whenever a dog wells up with tears.
