Selling my desktop computer which is under my desk at the moment and in use right now... it's a lovely machine which I bought in 2011 and at the time it cost a whopping £7k and it was purchased for my University MSc dissertation project and justified by that.
Specs are roughly:
Dual Xeon X5560 2.8 GHz CPU (4 cores, 8 threads per CPU)
24 GB ECC RAM
Windows 10 Pro pre-installed (cannot wipe as this was an MSDN subscription install so I do not have installation media or an active subscription)
1 x SSD OCZ Vertex3 220GB Capacity
3 x 1TB HDD (currently in a RAID0 stripe disk configuration, can RAID5 or JBOD them for you)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 graphics card (fans stop when not in use, but good for basic gaming)
The CPUs and RAM are the star, this is a machine that if you have a huge sensor digital camera, or you do video processing... then this machine still beats £2k machines today.
The entire machine can be serviced without tools, and it is easy to keep clean.
It's good for many years yet, it's a solid beast of a machine and even though it's still very powerful it's quiet enough to keep powered on in the front room.
Selling solely because I realise my computing needs have shifted towards a 24/7/365 workstation and this is a bit too power hungry for that scenario... I need something that idles at far lower wattage for what I'm intending... so the sale of this part-funds that.
Price for this is £400 non-negotiable.
It's almost too powerful even now to be a general computer, but will shine if you're working with large memory heavy applications like photo editing, or you want to transcode video and media. It also is great as a gaming machine.
This is the PC only, no monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc... just the PC body and a power cable for it.
It will be available for collection from TW8 (Kew Bridge) on or after Saturday April 28th.
