Very late to say but hairspray is okay however the best method for putting grips on is the old BMX method of cable ties...

Back to the Prima:
Girlfriend says she likes the pink stripes down the old guards, so tried to re-create that on the new guards by spraying the inside pink.
It's pretty subtle, but I think I like it.

The wheels for the prima are finally done. I reckon the rear nexus/open pro probably weighs the same as the old single speed steel wheel.
Bit narked that the bike shop (I used to work in!!) used plain gauge spokes for the front rather than double butted like I asked for but whatever... mechanics are a special breed

Next is tyre choice for the Prima. I think we're leaning towards black (rather than gum walls) but I don't really know.
Edit: just re-read the thread and gum was definitely mentioned sooooo maybe gum... who knows
