Out on a ride yesterday morning, going through some road works in primary and got taken out by some shit house who couldn't wait an extra 5 seconds to pass me so decided he'd try and pass before getting past the road works which meant his wing mirror hitting my arm and me hitting the deck. On my 2 week old Canyon... He stuck around for a little got a couple of photos and all his information. Called the police told no one could attend so got a reference number and was told to go to a station within 24 hours to record it as an Injury RTC, which I've just completed and gave to the police station to send off. Bike is currently at a LABC for a check up fingers crossed nothing major but both my ultegra shifters are scratched up and one side of my saddle has torn as well as a cracked helmet which has annoyed me as the bike and helmet are practically new. Will be speaking to the British Cycling legal team tomorrow morning when they're open for advice.
Think I've covered everything I need to? I'm ok in myself got a big chunk taken out of my hand, a couple scratches on my leg and had a constant headache since the crash which has only just shifted but I don't think it warrants using up the NHS's already stretched service.
Just heard from LBC, other than a couple cosmetic marks the rear hanger is cracked so I guess it could be a lot worse. Still will note all this down for costs etc.
