  • Thanks! Looks lovely. Finding one my size seems difficult though.

  • he wants a fixed gear.

  • then it became more of a singlespeed mountain bike

    Ok @Canardweb, some clarifications...

Do you want a fixed gear or singlespeed build?

Do you want a mountain bike or just to have a fg/ss with 26" wheels and fat tyres?

Do you actually want to ride it off road?

Do you have to have double disc brakes?

    What's the budget?

Are you prepared to have a frame modified to suit and is this included in the budget or will you do the work yourself?

Marino Bikes from Peru will build you exactly what you want for an extremely low price if you don't want to mess around...

  • Honestly then your search begins and ends with a Steamroller. The Gangsta sets the mark but impossible without unlimited folding. Charge Scissor if you can find one. Pompano is a compromise. If not find old school MTB and customise.

  • Cycle speedway bike and have some disc tabs welded on maybe?

  • There are currently 4 frames on there. 3 slotted, 1 sliding drops. Plus a complete and a few vertical dropout versions.

  • Do you want a fixed gear or singlespeed build?

    Fixed gear

Fg with 26” wheels and fat tyres.

Do you actually want to ride it off road?

Yes but not on long distance

Do you have to have double disc brakes?

It would be a plus but that’s not the main concern

    What's the budget?

Cheap. Depends on what I’ll find really.

Are you prepared to have a frame modified to suit and is this included in the budget or will you do the work yourself?

Would rather get the frame already made for its use.

I know him, he has already made me two frames and that is now my best option

  • Yes I guess that’s my best bet but finding one 26” my size is difficult

  • No mods would be best.

  • Only found two on eBay. Can you post links?

  • Yes im sure it would, but what you're looking for doesn't really exist so its either compromise on what you want or have some customisations done, or go full custom.

Basically what you seem to want style wise is a fgfs bike with double discs, 26" fat tyres, that has geo which atleast looks something like your original post.
Thats too many requirements to not go custom in some way.

  • I need a 26” Singlespeed frame with a compact geometry, the possibility to have some big tyres and a Euro BB. Disc tabs are a plus of course but not that big of a deal.

I guess the Inbred 26” with horizontal dropouts is my best bet.

  • Would a 20” 26” SS inbred be too big for me?

What do you need to know to tell me? I can’t find the frame geometry anywhere?

  • Thanks but no. That would look too much like a dirt bike. I want some kind of hybrid look between track and MTB frames

  • Would a 20” 26” SS inbred be too big for me?

    Possibly, I'm 5' 10 (178cm) with 32" leg and mines a 16 slot dropout. 100mm stem and a long Thompson seatpost.
Seat tube 16" C to Top
    Seat tube 13.25" C to C
    Top Tube 22.25" C to C

  • So a polo bike

  • well if you want something this specialised you have to be prepared to put in a bit of effort! come on...

  • Is this the new DBAD?

  • Squid bikes Shred to Ed's

  • The perfect choice except that OP doesn't want to spend Squid dorrah...

A custom build from Merino is the obvious choice. I kind of feel like we're being trolled if he actually does have two bikes from them already...

  • Def troll. Don't know how OP gets dressed in the morning if not. I'm with @tallsam on this one

  • Thanks for that.
