Frame weight was about 1.5kg. Complete bike 9.5kg ish

Also as an FYI, I can confirm that Waltly make the Titanium frames for Spa Cycles. My frame has the same serial number format (WTL and a load of numbers) that the Spa ones do...

Currently <100km behind you this year on Strava, not for long :(

It's the lack of commute it's killing my mileage

really great looking bike have fun on your tour.

Will you ride all 500 miles? And then 500 more? (And then another 200?) You'll be ready to collapse when you eventually get back to your front door.

Haha it's not quite that extreme. Just the North Coast 500 and then Inverness to London. It's over 10 days so not too bad...

bike looks great btw, how have the test rides been ? any kinks to iron out. -

I've probably put 2,000 miles into it now. Most of the issues have been hydraulic brake related. Frame has been great, I reckon the titanium is slightly softer than my old Lynskey. It marks easier (although easy to buffer out). Only regret is that I didn't future proof it by getting it drilled for Di2 when speccing.

The future is wireless.

True but Ultegra di2 Hydro would have been a more affordable upgrade

Trp Hylex with eTap blips and rear mech.

Ooo, I like that idea, might borrow it

Such a versatile bike. In rack and pannier guise for a short tour...

Looks great, can see why you are so happy with it
-
• #197
Yeah very pleased. Only downside is it's versatility has meant a bike has been culled from the stable. A sad day!

Short little bike packing set up. The Carradice might not look as good as the stuff from Restrap et al but it worked brilliantly.

An amazing thread, kudos to you for documenting so thoroughly, also glad to see absolutely zero buyers remorse!
Quick question about the initial frame design, did you have a bike fit, use that geo, then basically take the general profile from another frame(s) and adapt to suit your fit? Did you then just need to specify tyre clearances? Happy to DM to save clogging up the thread.

Would be interested to know too, emailed Waltly but haven't heard back yet.
