By "city limits" Do you mean City of London? Or a wider area? I know there's fishing on Walthamstow reservoir and a few lakes down Bexleyheath way. I've seen people fish on the River Lea and also on Regent's Canal. Is there a reason it has to be London? You're not going to be catching beautiful shining sea trout any time soon. Maybe some roach and a communicable disease.

I've tried google but to no avail. Does anyone know where you can go fishing within the London city limits or close and you can hire fishing equipment as well.
