  • I can confirm there are people on here doing it this year.

  • Cool, thread closed

  • Anyone do it last year? routes etc?

  • Anyway, I’m asking because me and the boys are riding down on the Friday before so if anyone fancies tagging along they can

  • What's the starting point?

@Thrasher - surely must be one on RWGPS or Strava?

  • SW London for us

  • routes probably different this year, tho day 1 might be the same, linked below, day 2 is going to be totally different apparently, not seen the route yet..

    https://www.strava.com/routes/12631457

  • Stoked for the event. Not stoked on the terms and conditions

Each participant hereby grants to Brother Cycles and all partner brands of the Brother in the Wild
event an exclusive, absolute and irrevocable worldwide assignment in perpetuity in the photographs/film/video/electronic representations and/or sound recordings of the participant obtained at the event and grants to Brother Cycles the right to use and publish such content in any and all media. The participant hereby releases Brother Cycles from any and all liability from such use and promotion. The participant hereby authorises the reproduction, sale, copyright, exhibit, broadcast, electronic storage and/or distribution of said photographs/film/video tapes/electronic representations and/or sound recordings without limitation at the discretion of Brother Cycles. The participant specifically waives any right to any compensation they may have for appearing in any of the photographs/film/video/electronic representations and/or sound recordings of the participant at a Brother Cycles event.

  • wack

  • but that's just a load of waffle to say we can put pictures on the gram? must be pretty standard for most events

  • Then it could have said that.

The participant hereby authorises the reproduction, sale, copyright, exhibit, broadcast, electronic storage and/or distribution of said photographs/film/video tapes/electronic representations and/or sound recordings without limitation

This bit is the problem. They definitely aren’t going to print any of my photos and sell them without compensation or credit. But that fact that they expect me to sign to say they can is not on.

  • How good are you at holding a gurning face all day?

Maybe they want to sell a few prints or something, if you do ask do share, curious but not personally concerned.

  • Spent today sorting the commuter fixie to gravel fixie mode or gixie, won't be hard to miss with disc brake and ironic DBAD sticker.

  • What did that entail?

    How gravelly is this route?

  • I’ve put 42c tyres on 🤭

  • As I'd not cleaned it since last summer, much degreaser but basically mudguards off, 32c tyres on and changed cogs to 17 & 18 with a 44t.

Was all good last year with 32s , most of it was shared gravel path but could be a bit mudier this time.

  • how was it?

  • Great fun. Some very challenging riding both on the way down there and some of the more exposed bits of land that had suffered as a result of the thunder storm but a lot of nice forest gravel riding too
