You don’t think the start in Israel will be more of a talking point?
Because it ought to be.

I lived in a working class French town for a year.
-
• #16404
Are you a working class racist?
-

You missed my post a few pages back. It got lost in the noise.
Just wait till the giro starts. Perhaps the politics of the Giro needs its own thread. To keep the racing discussion on track!
Excited for LBL. Wonder if Dan will get a loook. Not heard much from him this year.

Using the same logic, we should have a separate thread for the Froome case as, by the UCI rules, he has every right to race.

Gap yah?

.
Edit: Because it's labouring a point and I'm being guilty of "last word" and that's not necessary.Racing on Sunday. And maybe tonight.
-
• #16409
I didn’t say otherwise about Froome. I didn’t even mention it.
-
• #16410
Is there any racing today? I hope so..

Sunday. Amstel Gold. I still remember seeing the world champs on the Cauberg. Kicked off my love for cycling.
Also I think commie games RR is tonight...?

Fantastic edition last year.
Breakout performance from nathan hass. Can he go better this year?

Being a working class racist gets to you after a while (seriously I wasn't in a mood but obviously everyone thought I was!).
-
• #16415
I'd forgotten about that celebration!

For me this is the reason The Guardian shouldn't have leaked it. They said they did to get it out in the public eye where it may have been hidden without the leak, but at the same time it puts Froome on trial-by-public-opinion, where public opinion is extremely low anyway, and hung a pall over much of this season until it is resolved. I haven't really watched Froome much this season on purpose, but he will make watching the Giro and Tour awkward methinks.

Well you weren't being very nice if I'm to be honest. I'd hope your statements could be attributed to being in a mood rather than this being your modus operandi.

I wonder if and where this is being shown in the UK

French (and German) degree

Generalising massively, I got the impression that French people are perhaps less racist than English ones.
-
• #16421
Isn't generalising massively about people being racist racist though?
-
• #16422
Not when it's the French.
-
• #16423
I'm so confused. There are so many rules.

Pointing out the rest of the world is not like London is an M.O. now?
I'm surprised that's so controversial.
I thought that having the self-awareness to recognise that I live in a metropolitan bubble was a good thing.

He’s been ill, so he’s riding Amstel in a support role but missing Flèche and Liege.
Which is a shame.
Zactly.
