There was a 26" horizontal dropout, disc braked Inbred frame. Long top tube and 135mm rear spacing may not work for you.

Mines now got a Genesis CdF fork and 27.5 wheels with gravel kings for pottering about.

You keep saying this but you are wrong. The Inbred was and still is available with horizontal dropouts. -

It sounds like you don't want a mountain bike because you want a steep head angle. As a result, a FGFS or Steamroller type thing is your best bet. Tyre clearance will be your main concern.
