Nah I’m just saying that logistically it’s easier to find a hall and staff for 100 people to play acoustic instruments than it is to find ~20 soundproofed practice rooms with associated kit and staff for 100 people to play in bands (assuming you’re trying to actively coach/mentor the students).

You have an imagination.
How many people can ride the imaginary un-built velodrome?
So you’d never seen anyone play football at all, not even a local amateur team or older children? You just read about it in the library, found the laws of the game and thought you’d give it a go? :p

Someone pitching to close down the ballet schools to fund lino for breakdancers. Or at least that was how it was argued the first time I came across this discussion. I’m sure there are older versions that pre-date my existence.

Ideas and perspectives you won’t find anywhere else
Except it seems to be a few exclusive articles from other publications, in between reams of press releases and other bullshit that should have stayed on company sites* or personal blogs.

This shop in Soho called Palace. Appears to be some kind of clothiers for wealthy Chinese children who enjoy long queues and dressing like clowns? Where does this shit come from?

Wasn’t it a semi-credible British Skate company and then Rihanna or someone wore one of their tops?

Chinese children who enjoy long queues and dressing like clowns
Could they be Chinese dragon dancers?

If they apply themselves, sure.

Hi-def TVs.
They just make everything look fake. Actors can be seen acting, whist wearing makeup that looks like makeup, on sets that look like sets. All against the backdrop of a fucked up speed that looks totally fucked up, destroying every semblance of illusion.
Basically some cunt has designed new tech that performs its intended function worse, but marketed it well enough to make people think it's an improvement?
... Sort of like selling smartphones without headphone jacks.
Does watching elite athletes intimidate people from trying?
Does having access to world-class venues prevent participation?
Would you even want to play football if you’d never seen a match?
