  • Well yes, I too fail to see the point in 'winning' by cheating. It must be totally hollow.
    I get why pros do it - keep a job, etc. but amateurs is just loopy. But they still do and I still want them caught and removed from my sport. Yeah, the humiliation must be pretty bad but I still want the bans and result adjustments, etc. I'm selfish though, if I lose to someone faster that's fine but not if they took a shortcut or something - cheat me and I want them hounded out of the sport for good.

  • This guy probably enjoys having his 'Lance Armstrong moment' of rebutting his critics. If you're hollow enough to cheat in amateur leagues as a senior to feel like you're more 'pro' than everyone else then you'll be more likely to embrace the idea that the notoriety and attention garnered in publicly denying it as part of that mystical pro status too.

    Going by the company he keeps it looks like they'll be delighted to be considered London's Poundland version of Rock Racing
