I'd wager that the volume of cup wastage by the "bragging around the dinner table" types pales in comparison to the volume of cup wastage by every other person.
It doesn't make it OK but at least those doing not much more than paying lip service to eco friendliness are at least recycling their paper cups.
I don't really buy coffee from coffee shops so I'll sit and fester in my fog of smugness.
