Thought I'd update you all on the watch search i was undertaking for my dad's 60th. As time went on he went off the idea of a birth year watch more and more after seeing tonnes of overly polished/tarted up Seamasters and the like. Also, as it got closer to his birthday more people said they didn't know what to get him and that they wanted to chip in for something that he wanted. He's ended up with an early 2000's Speedy Pro that he's super happy with.
