Here we go...

Was the crash caught on the cameras? I remember a rider in blue I identified as a Movistar rider go down very hard and by themselves early on and wasn't moving after. I remarked on hard the crash looked on here, then reports of Goolearts started filtering through.
Not that I want to see it you understand. But that impact stuck with me as the rider flew by himself from the pack and ended up face down, quite horrible.

What product in particular are they trying to sell off the back of it?

That was sector 1 crash wasn't it? MG's crash was later on.

Prozac as far as i can tell.

Few, I'm glad that wasn't the crash I saw. It wasn't the sector 1 one though, it was after on smooth roads and the Movistar rider was just spat out of the Peloton at high speed, tumbled and ended up face-down not moving. I haven't heard any reports on the condition of the rider.

Eyeballs, but they are kinda re-selling them to themselves whereas Eurosport and whatever sell them to others. I don't think the difference is enough to warrant Rapha being branded any more insensitive than Eurosport, but then maybe I haven't thought it through well enough.

Anyway, moving on from intimitly discussing someones sad death.
Hayley Simmonds 3rd and the other Tanfield (Harry) 2nd today in common wealth Games TT! Good results.
Not looked at the RR course, anyone know what it's like. Adam Blythe seems to be enjoying the holiday in the sun.

It was Nelson Oliviera, he fractured his collarbone and has the usual multiple abrasions but otherwise is okay.

But who was first?

Some cheating aussie. Properly used sandpaper to increase the rolling resistance of the competitors tyres. **

Thanks, that puts the mind at rest.
Back to the race itself, I am glad Gilbert struggled with it, I was really surprised to find out it was only his second time racing it and he was gung ho pre-race when asked about his lack of experience saying he's raced a lot of cobbles. I am sure he has but not like P-R's. I think he should have decided he wants to win all five monuments a little earlier in his career. Post race he admitted his lack of experience cost him, that he didn't really appreciate the effects of the pave and that he didn't really know what to do and when, so when he saw the Sunweb rider go in Arenberg he thought hey-ho I may as well go as well. That ain't going to win you the race.
Its a bit like Wiggins suddenly deciding he wants to win it.

Ahhh, that feels good.
Off to do some turbo training for lunch now :)

I can't see the pictures hippy posted there, but it doesn't matter, as I know they'll undoubtedly be pictures of Cadel Evans.

Gilbert came 15th, in the same group as Degenkolb. That's not a bad showing, and I certainly think he can win it. Obviously, he does need more experience.

Cam Meyer and Katrin Double Disc Garfoot but if you'd like more Cadel, you just have to ask...
What part of what I wrote wasn't true?
"Terpy crashed because he asked for the FutureShock stuff to be made rigid and the custom bit they used wasn't up to it"
He asked for the suspension to be made rigid. The part they used to make it rigid failed.
"Terpstra requested a rigid component so his handlebars did not move, so Specialized developed such a piece. A pre-production rigid cartridge ultimately made it onto Terpstra’s bike due to a communication error. This cartridge was not approved for racing use. Quick-Step’s seven other riders used the non-rigid FutureShock system during the race."
"Heading into Paris-Roubaix, a few of our riders asked to try a rigid cartridge as well as the fully-active Future Shock on their new Roubaix bikes. In response to this, we developed a pre-production rigid steerer cartridge and later an approved engineered cartridge for the race.
In the days leading up, Niki Terpstra chose to race the rigid option. Unfortunately, a missed communication on the Specialized team resulted in the pre-production part remaining in Niki’s bike instead of being replaced by the approved engineered part. Ultimately, this failed during the race. All other riders raced on Future Shock equipped bikes."
Whether or not it was tested or untested, it was custom part to make his bars rigid per his request and it failed.
