Horrible to hear about Goolaerts. My heart sank lower than my stomach as the image flashed by during the race, really hoped I would be wrong. Makes me feel unwell that I can see it when I blink.

Was the crash caught on the cameras? I remember a rider in blue I identified as a Movistar rider go down very hard and by themselves early on and wasn't moving after. I remarked on hard the crash looked on here, then reports of Goolearts started filtering through.
Not that I want to see it you understand. But that impact stuck with me as the rider flew by himself from the pack and ended up face down, quite horrible.

I could definitely see him twisting the little stem cap adjuster thing before and after the cobbled bits, so I'm assuming he was running it as intended. Whether it made a difference or not, who knows.
