    That's why I'm thinking of keeping the 48/32 chainset, as the 48t with 11-34 is a perfect 1x10 for road riding, and I got the 32t for off road.

  • It’s a 20 minute job to swap rings. You could splice in a short length of chain using quick links for the larger ring but, as others have said, having a second chain makes more sense.
