I use crest rims on two bikes with both G Ones and Gravelkings tubleless and never had any issues so don't think it the rims or tyres. sorry not sure if this helps or not

don't think it the rims or tyres
So you're blaming the office? 😈

It wasn't sat over a heating vent or something? Can't think why a non-bodged setup would blast apart at ostensibly low pressure.
-
• #2088
non-bodged setupFTFY. He already said Stan's 🙂

What's wrong with Stan's?

What's wrong with Stan's?
They deliberately make their rims too small. The amount the bead has to expand to jump over the side is about half what it is on a proper rim.

For what purpose?

• #2092
Makes it easier to fit tubeless tyres.

• #2093
For what purpose?
To reduce the rim weight by 50g, and the safety margin by 100%

I plan do a more budget set later in the year but I have to throw alot if cash at buying all the bits first. However i won't be able to sell them for £150.

Trying to choose between these tyres is like trying to choose an ice cream flavour in an Italian gelateria, they're all good. The rbcc tyre though has more grip and may cut less and I think they can do more miles the 28mm rbcc is lighter than the 25mm roadlite.
We'll see at euro bike if there is going to be a new version of the roadlite.

Tried my best with a track pump, sealant, soapy water - no joy. Both the beads are in the centre of the rim bed, hard for me to see how they end up way out hooked onto the rim lip.

Another loop of rim tape

What's the cheapest set of bits I can get for a tubeless setup (excluding tyres)? Something one step above the ghetto duct-tape-for-rim-tape-and-valves-cut-out-of-inner-tubes setup. The tubeless kits are like £40 which seems a lot.

Tape valves and sealant should be £30. I have new cheaper valves to list. I must do that.
In fact the tape problem is about to get alot cheaper. Tess 4289 is just like stans tape. It really cheap when your about to by lots of it.

Orange sealant 12 months after filling. Still liquid all around. Interestingly the other tire which has always had trouble maintaining pressure was totally dried out.
