No experience of the Sugino ones but the Miche version is shit.
The cog always has a bit of play on the holder which allows the lockring to work loose very quickly.
The whole concept is, imo, utterly flawed. They are sold as providing a faster way for trackies to change gearing but they require the use of a lockring. Most trackies who change gear regularly don't use a lockring so there is (at best) no benefit.
Also worth noting is that the Sugino cogs are alloy. Might be alright in the sterile environment of a velodrome but on the road, with grit and spray and salt etc contaminating your drivetrain?

The White Industries spline system works fine but as above you need to check the lock ring periodically.

I noticed a slight play on the sugino cog system. That's what made me wondering. Thx for the info.
Hi guys,
does anybody use these switchable cog sets where you remove the lock ring and switch the cog without tools? do they make a noise? do they work for skidding?
thanks
