Nitto SP72 rail clamp exchange

Hi guys,
my njs panasonic frame is equiped with Nitto Sp72 NJS 26,8ø 250mm long 30mm rails width seatpost and kashimax fg8p saddle. The saddle is very uncomfy for longer rides. I want to replace it, but I am limited with the rails width. The seatpost is like new and is hard to find 250mm long NJS seatpost at reasonable price. I get the idea to buy some old Sp72 with 44mm rails from ebay for 30€ and just replace the rails clamp.

My questions is, If you mind that it should works. Also I would like to ask, If somebody with SP72 44mm can measure the dimension on the picture.

FWIW you can see from Nitto's own pictures that the top of the seatpost is not the same - the 30mm one is narrower, cut-out to accept the narrower clamp:

Tiny pictures but it looks quite clear. So chances are good you can't put the 30mm chariot on the the other post.

Yes you are right. Some ebay seller provides me an information that the dimension of W44 is wider - 22-23mm. So I do not have another option and have to buy a new one. But also Thank you
