  • I was running stupidly fat 26" slick MTB tyres most of last year. #inb4650B

They're handy for slowing me down and making light work of all the fucking potholes these days. Putting 45mm on the Tripster so that when I go back to 23mm race tyres I'm unstopabubble.

  • Van driver with clipboard on steering wheel writing shit down. I should've grabbed his plates off my cam and shopped the fuck but I forgot.

  • when I go back to 23mm race tyres I'm unstopabubble.

    unless pothole

  • Thankfully the A roads I'm racing on tend to not have the show-stopping potholes, at least not in positions where I can't avoid them. Bunnyhopping the Shiv while on the aerobars is a bit awkward though.

  • Tape your elbows to the bar, should help with the lift.

  • First commute since last week as couldn't fix a flat because I'd bought tubes with too short a valve #facepalm

Was nice today, wrong glove choice, still quite chilleh but got hot in the softshell.

    Mismatched Clothing/10

  • Left 30 minutes earlier than normal, delightful commute, 9/10 lights were green as opposed to the 50/50 ratio i seem to get
Was in shorts but still in long finger gloves

  • Cold and windy but sunny. So I'm happy as last two days was non stop rain :(

Commuting on a 26" with 2.1s and suspension, still feeling the potholes on some roads...

  • What's the story there?

  • Found an abandoned stash of cannabis by the road, so I bunny hopped it.

  • That's what I looked like, seems so odd that it would be abandoned...

  • Where do you commute?
    Asking for a friend

  • If I use enough tape I can make a nose cone fairing and call it 'structural' so it's race legal...

  • It wasn't abandoned. I like to drop some around on my commute in case I get caught short. Same thing goes for all the cupcakes..

  • On Wednesday mornings, anywhere I please. This was Beddlestead Lane though.

@spotter I assume a grower got a tip off about some federal interest and swiftly got a 'tip on in Kent.

  • No trains between Parkway and Temple Meads on Tuesday so unleashed the road bike for a longer commute. Managed to get lost on the way back and by the time I was at the entrance of Stoke's Park I had 18 minutes to make the train. Stoke's Park is diagonally cut through by a bike path that steadily ramps up and ends steep enough to justify three switch backs. I thought there was no chance I would get up it and around UWE in time for the train so abandoned all urgency and just paced myself. Made it with five minutes to spare.

Photo of Stoke's Park for all the London cockwombles:

    Makes for a lovely commute.

  • Meanwhile in Lundun...

  • Is it some sort of zombie outbreak?

  • Zombies would make better cabbies

  • Seen that from the moterwey, looks well steep :)

  • Zombies = London commuters

  • Yeah moving from Brizzle to Dumdon was a great idea.

    No ragrets.

  • Kicks up at the end, but not for too long. Prevailing wind here is so'westerly so you usually have a tailwind like I did that day. Tailwind is probably responsible for me not missing the train.

  • I don’t know about you, but when I think I’m going to be late for something, the first thing I do is stop and start taking photos :)

  • Haha I have taken a few going up and down there but not that time, I nicked it off The Bristol Post. I just chugged away up it. Then I tried running up the stairs at Parkway and my legs were like ‘nope’ so I slowed, then saw I had five fucking minutes. To add insult to injury the Train Manager was ten minutes late anyways, the swine.
