• I've said this before (several times). Don't confront.

I have first hand experience. I confronted after a close pass (well, just waved an angry hand actually) and the psycho ran me over. Broad daylight with lots of witnesses. Never caught. I was lucky but could easily have been killed if I'd rolled the other way or a hundred other possibilities.

You're on a bike - they're in a ton of metal. For the outcome it just isn't worth it. They're unlikely to have a sudden epiphany about respecting other road users and that is your best case scenario.

Instead breath in and get home safely - it really is all that matters. Then track them down and hammer frozen sausages into their lawn* in the dead of night.

    *substitute suitable medium where appropriate.

  • I think the fact he was using his car physically against me, coupled with his extreme rage, and coupled with my lack of a D-Lock did make me re-think my decision-making process. As I said I missed the red flags that indicated he was already in psycho-mode, I just lit the fuse.

While I am certain the better course of action is cameras and non-confrontation, I am also certain I am a stubborn cunt that doesn’t react well to provocation who rarely learns his lesson.

Apart from leaving the D-Lock at home that is. Never again.
