When riding my race bikes I just carry flexible superglue, worms and a pump/CO2

@cycleclinic I'm looking to get some IRC tyres from you for the season. Would like some that can be used for weekend rides as well as crits. It's either the roadlite or Formula Pro RBCC. What would you recommend and what size for 18mm internal rims running ultegra brakes (little clearance)?
Appreciate the advice.

Roadlite tyres 25mm 340g real weight 345g claimed. real width on 17 to 19mm internal width rims 27 to 27.5mm wide and height 24mm. rolling resistance at 80 psi with 40 kg of load at 30 kph is 13.7W.
Formula Pro RBCC
25mm tyre 275g - real width on 17 to 19mm internal width rims 25mm and height 22mm. rolling resistance at 80 psi with 40 kg of load at 30 kph is 15.2W.The Roadlite roll a little faster, but the RBCC look to have some improvements and be a better tyre in general terms.
I've not tried the Roadlite, but the RBCC are outstanding in every regard, even fitting them was a PoP.
You don't say what series brakes you have, but I assume they're all easy to measure.

Bugger, have just bought Roadlites, but this makes me think I should have gone for the RBCC's

...irc tyres... I have tests done at 120 to 60 psi. I need to put it in a table.
Did you do this? Got a link? :)

I have a second set of RBCCs on the way from Malcolm, as my rear tyre is looking a bit worn and has been increasing in puncture frequency the last few rides. Did you need a compressor or just a normal track pump?
-

Thanks for that. Good to hear reviews of RBCC. Pair of those on the way!

New Shimano RS700 C30 wheels arrived (bargainous intro price at CRC/Wiggle). Just put tubeless Hutchinson Fusion 5 on, without lube, without tools...with my gammy right thumb! Hutch has been Shimano's development partner for tubeless for ages, and it shows. This combo just works. Pity that Shimano maintains the fiction that the valves do not need removable cores though. I replaced them with VAR valves from @cycleclinic.

Roadlites are good tyres from what I can tell, it's just that (for my use) the RBCC are better.
I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Frame pump! :)
Two layers of tape and Schwalbe Easyfit (soapy water will do).

You're welcome, but I'm not sure I'd have taken my opinion over Malcolm's... :0

Looking for something slightly wider and more robust than the 28mm Pro Ones on my audax bike. Thinking of stepping up to 30mm, what tyre would be recommended in this width? G-one speed?
-
• #2064
Have the speeds been replaced with the 'Allround' as I cant see many places stocking them
Also wishing to purchase
-
• #2065
I think the classic g-one is now branded allround.
The speed still exist. Wiggle has them at 43 each
-
• #2066
My S-Ones are bald and still only got a flat once, because I forgot topping the sealant. Fantastic tyres
-

Think g one speed is rebranded s-one

Are there any passable tubeless wheels in commuter-bike budget territory? I put my BORG31s on my town bike and they're so much more comfortable than the generics I have on right now, but I don't fancy locking up £400 worth of wheels outside a pub.
I found these Shimano ones on sale, but they aren't quite aesthetic enough with their shallow profile ... https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/shimano-pair-wheels-rs610-clincher-tubeless/

I think @NurseHolliday is selling a decent wheelset.

Pretty cheap for what is basically a brand new wheelset with tubeless tyres.
The rear is a Mavic Aksium which is technically not tubeless ready but the internet is chock full of people running them tubeless.

I'm in Dublin heh. Do have spare Aksiums though from my racer, will check that option out.
Edit: found this video, it actually worked, the absolute madman

Other way round!

G-One just burst off the rim in my office, quite loudly. Tried to re-inflate it but the bead blows off. Only had about 35pis in. What do?
-
• #2075
What rim?
Is this resolved?
I rode on Sunday on Tubeless and I'm not sure I had everything I could need.
So I took a spare inner tube.
If someone can finalise a list that would be helpful.
