  • OK, plan of action is to try the spring thing, as I think it is cool. I have the bolt, the nut, the spring and the washers.

    But, I can't use a P Clip as the bolt has to slide through the hole, which would leave it unclamped to the chain bridge.

    I could use one of the SKS clips that @Skülly linked to up there.

    Or, I could drill the chain bridge. Is this actually a thing? Do people do it? Is it as straightforward as it sounds?

    2. Yes
    3. Yes, at least three times personally
    4. Yes. Some linseed oil (or other anti-rust stuff) in the bridge afterwards, before bolting the guard on.
