  • As clinical (cynical?) as it sounds, when you want to lead, you have to have a sense of what things look like, not just what they are. The group in question seems to be a bunch of irreviant satirist pranksters, poking fun at the 'jewish establishment' - which is kinda cool and I bet they are good craic, but hanging out with them when embroiled in accusations of leading a party that has problems with anti semitism seems to be a bit....like dicking about.

    Again, why?

  • Because it his first meeting with a Jewish group since the protest.

    (although my understanding was he'd been refused a meeting with the protest groups until a set of conditions had been met)

  • Hard to describe without a massive essay, so I'll take the easy route: Because by making a sacrifice* and attending a 'mainstream' event he will have been seen to not be dicking about and there will have been no story.

    * I can't attend this event run by these cool guys because context grumble grumble.
