I didn't think poorer filler content than GCN was possible but Rapha did it with 'race radio'.
The edit is bad.
Shooting is bad.
Script is bad.Pls stop.
If there is a lot of cash remaining from 17/18 invest in a new territory, dont make this garbage and water down the brand further more.

^This. Surprised how poor the production value is given how important aesthetic is to the brand.

Who was the bearded chap in full Rapha kit trying to get up Oude Kwaremont on the official race day and having to walk up in shame? Oh lord, that must have been embarrasing.
-
• #30807
You know pros have been known to sometimes have to walk up climbs yeah?
-
• #30808
Ah, but they don't wear Rapha.

• #30809
anymore !

Could literally be anyone these days.

A bearded guy in Rapha, nope, shall we start a list?

i thought it was spot on
It is literal race side reporting - of course it isn't going to be slick AF, and it was all the better for it.
It has a distinct retro/on-the-fly style which I think they nailed. They don't take themselves too seriously, which is refreshing. They weren't afraid to take strong opinion (like shitting on the early season races in the desert) which is something that big brands often won't do, which was also refreshing.
Loved it and looking forward to more.

The public got a good laugh so all good. The poor guy probably just took a wrong turn and could not get out due to the barriers.
BTW. I don't think pros need to walk Oude Kwaremont

• #30815
they definitely do

^ and ^^ are the Koppenberg, not the Kwaremont. The only dismounting on the Kwaremont would be down to space, not incline.

• #30817
Aye, hi-vis guy on the right is a clue.
-
• #30818
Maybe he was practising his walking before tackling Kwaremont.

• #30819
ah, fair enough. My ignorance of belgian bergs lies exposed!

And now my single piece of Belgian topographical knowledge is exposed

Thats all downhill.

I had a cringe on my face the entire 6mins of Rapha Race Radio...

This reminds me a bit of The Outline. A "revolutionary" cultural news site, which decided to do quality reporting, but in a weird and novel way. Fully exploring what was possible in an online/non-print format! Scrolling sideways!
Turns out that they leaned wayyy too heavily on their aesthetic stylisticalisms, which just rendered the content itself completely inaccessible.

Classic Gilet II:
Sizing, is it a medium for 6'2" slightly portly me, or is it pro team sizing?
80 quid for the teal one, will I get a code if I sign up to the newsletter or anything?

I’m 6’3 76kg 40” chest; the classic in large fitted better than the Brevet in large. Medium Brevet was too small.
try the gore active jacket before you buy, the material is world's ahead of typical waterproofs
