Heh, well if you are going to summon me with a "oh come on" "this is not helpful"... I'm going to look into it :)
It is helpful... pages are measurably about 3x faster across the entire site.
For images presently on HTTP or with SSL errors I'm redirecting to those and letting your browser decide whether or not it cares to load them.
I'm presently seeing that no valid image URL is being blocked or dropped, and that 95.1% benefit from being proxied and cached.
