I'd be tempted to see if you can go and take the seat out in their workshop and then measure up seating positions to see what position would allow full visibility of instruments (assuming there is one).
Otherwise Ramsaye's aftermarket HUD suggestion is a good one.
That's quite a good idea. The trying out a bucket, not the HUD - that's not happening.
I've found this on eBay:
Which is in terrible condition, but that's not hugely important as I'd get it refinished.
