If you don't want to buy something because the parent company does something you don't agree with, that's good. And applaudable.

Whether it makes a significant (measureable) difference is another thing, it will make a difference if enough people think the same way.
Personally, giro make shit shoes with shit laces so they don't get my money because of that.
