  • Saw the Synapse Ultegra SE (CF/Disc) in the flesh today, utterly gorgeous lines on it. Was convinced at first it was a Supersix.

  • I have also never had an issue with the SI bung.. it isn't hard to master it

synapse looks great up there. am i old?

@spotter that cable routing looks very weird

  • First ride ride out in 7 months. Didn't die, faster than expected, no idea how I've maintained reasonable fitness. With a set of 28s on she's perfect for the lanes around here.
And it was warm enough for shorts!

*I'll never sit again on the top tube - thanks whoever posted a pic a couple of pages back of a massive ding!

For an "endurance" bike, the Synapse doesn't feel like it, I reckon Cannondale got it nailed bang on with the Synapse.

No reason why you can't race on it, Cannondale also finally removed the cable stop from the alu version to allow a full housing for the rear brakes.

  • going to have to get one next. thru axles f+r too. mamma mia!

  • Got myself a '15 Supersix in hideous hulk green. What up?

  • hanging out in mallorca

  • Lovely, late March/ April is usually rammed with 2 wheeled fans, this year any different?

  • is that a rental? must go to mallorca if so

  • It's not, but I(and others) have had great experiences hiring from Bikehead. Much less hassle than lugging a bike box out. Would highly recommend

  • easter weekend is the busiest time of year for cycling in mallorca. whole island is polluted with the fuckers :-)

    @exteroceptive no it is mine

  • have to say bikehead prices do seem extremely competitive. I have always favoured bringing my bike with me due to the location of my godparent's place (esporles), as well as wanting to ride my own bike! however I may consider bikehead in the future

  • of my godparent's place

Jealous! But yeah, the last bike I hired from them was a carbon Colnago with the best set-up Ultegra I've ever used, for ~£125 for 6 days. The mechanic was also happy to help with a clicky hollowgram BB and wheel issues from the two people in our group who brought their own bikes which is another feather for them

  • Last year was overrun with RCC members prancing around in their club kit, OFF the bike!
Start early in the morning or late afternoon I found the roads quieter

  • good to know! thanks

@MicroDosed™ tbh the volume of cyclists really doesn't bother me, infact I quite enjoy it - such a spectacle

  • New WIP

  • Aww yiss

  • That colourway! About the only one that could turn me away from the stars and bars.

  • Reader's wife today. Still love this bike so much.

  • upgraded to 11speed shimano - a mongrel mix of 6800 (shifters & mechs) 9000 (chainset) and 8000 (brakes)

Got a new seatpost to go on and then ready for summer.

Next year I'm looking to get this repainted - love the bike but never been a huge fan of the colour.
