Still not convinced, I haul my sorry backside up some 15+% gradients on an 82GI during my commute using Eggbeaters, so put a lot of torque through them, and they hold up just fine.
Whatever works though. My only minor issue with CB’s is that the new once’s don’t have pedal spanner options to remove them, only Allen keys. I still use old ones though so not a massive issue for me :)

They are all good.
You need to be very careful with shoe set up and you need to periodically rebuild the pedal itself - replace the bearings and whatnot. It’s kinda worth it for the float, ease of entry and mud expelling capability
