Wasn't it Warner throwing a punch at Root that got rid of Mickey Arthur?

I want to see the Aussies hung out to dry but they’ll all just fuck off and play T20 and that will devalue Test cricket which is the only format worthy of my attention.
It’s a conundrum.
Maybe the punishment should be that Ben Stokes get a free punch at Smith, Warner and Bancroft. End of the whole affair.

Lehmann, Smith, Lehmann, Warner, Lehmann, Bancroft and Lehmann.
Plus Nathan Lyon (even though he's not implicated).
-
• #5880
Controversially I'd still have Lehmann over Bayliss.
-
• #5881
Yes - how could I forget Lyon.
Maybe let him have a swing at Pietersen too for his shit work on Channel 9.

12 month bans for Warner/Smith, 9 for Bancroft
-
• #5883
How the fuck did Lehmann dodge that.
Or else he's got kompromat on the CA bigwigs. -
• #5884
Maybe he's still pretending to be on the phone to someone.

BBC now saying "sandpaper" instead of "yellow tape". I understand their hesitance until they've got verified sources, but everyone else knew it was sandpaper.
From their paraphrasing of Cricket Australia's statement:-
"
The body also said Bancroft used sandpaper to damage the ball during their third Test with South Africa. It found Smith and Bancroft had made "misleading public comments" when on Saturday they instead claimed it had been yellow tape.
"I wonder how much extra damage was done lying about it being "yellow tape".

You mean this kind of Test cricket...
-
• #5887
Yeah. He's a cunt and all.

• #5888
pip pip, tally ho, fuckers!

A fine, upstanding English cunt.
Aggers' face says it all! Don't make him angry...

Atherton was a senior player/captain (?) and did the dirty work himself like a man. He didn’t get a kid to do it for him.
If you’re going to cheat, do it with integrity.
Plus - he was using the dirt to dry his fingers, not rubbing it on the ball. He said so, so it must be true.

As with everything else, we took something you lot had done and did it better.
I'd watching cricket again if it was like the good old days...

He did the same having gloved Allan Donald at Trent Bridge. What followed was epic. Then Boucher dropped him and Donald was apoplectic!
Even the Don refused to walk once though.

• #5895
Slim? Show me one other ball tamperer the got more than his match fees as a punishment.
Talk about a storm in a teacup.

• #5896
Steve Smith supposed crying to make it looks like he is sorry is awful.
-
• #5897
Haha. What a silly cunt. Entirely unconvincing. Who the fuck advised him on doing tears instead of ‘ashamed and contrite’?
-
• #5898
Crying about being caught, and losing $5m+.
And no longer being the Weet-bix kid. Did he ever even eat them? Who knows, can't be trusted.

Lehmann gone now also after the dreaded vote of confidence from the board, yesterday...
I fully expect anyone who has ever held a cricket ball and been to Australia to do the same.
I am ashamed for myself and hereby retire from international cricket.

"Hey Eddo, Why are you such a fat c*ut"
"Because every time I f*ck your mother she gives me a biscuit"
Eddo Brandes in Response to Glen McGrath
Ian Healy's comment to Ranatunga about runners takes it though for me
From my experiences of club cricket that means he’ll flounce off for good and bad mouth everyone in the team/management. Should be great entertainment.
