Given some plans have anything up to 4 weeks for a taper plan, I'd be inclined to be cautious and rest up if there's any underlying niggle in the calf. You're not gonna get much fitter from another long run, and you're in good shape. If it feels better after a few days' rest, by all means get a few miles in (including some at/quicker than target pace) but take it easy.
The Maidenhead 10 mile race tomorrow will be a decent substitute for any MP efforts this week, and I'm feeling OK about having a couple of easy days yesterday and today so that I can give it a good blast. Got my eye on a PB (and the V45 rankings for a relatively obscure distance!)
Ah I would have seen you there if I'd got my act together and not left it a day too late to enter. Victoria Park Half for me tomorrow, as long as I don't do something stupid I should be on for a seven or so minute PB (its been a long long time since I've run a half).
