Was chatting about this in a record shop in Brixton the other day. You could play a decent set with records costing less than £10. Don't ever dismiss a record because of it's price, sure it plays a part in enjoying a collection but the only reason some vinyl is expensive is it was so unpopular they didn't make much of it.
All that said it's cheering when you put a cat. no in and its selling for £80! :)
I reckon Discogs is playing a big part in the current price escalation and it could well blow out a bit shortly.
Just finished registering our little collection on discogs and sort of regret it when I realised how much of it just junk.
