Help! - Stripped thread from crank arm

In the process of removing my old crankset I stripped the thread from my left crank arm. It is destined for the bin anyway, but now I can’t take it off

Can any body Suggest how to remove it now, without use of a threaded crank removal tool?

The crank bolt was the only thing holding it on. Now it’s held in place just by friction. You might be able to get it off by hitting it from the back with a mallet

Rubber mallet preferably

Or hammer and jumper

I've had success with a wedge of hard wood and mallet inbetween crank and bottom bracket.

Alternatively; some bearing pullers work.

Heat and wallop it from behind or cut a slot or two and it will fall off

After hitting it for a while with a mallet I noticed the bearing cup became loose, so I could manually unscrew it with the use it a small flat head screwdriver

If you don't mind trashing the BB face, a ball joint separate fork'll do it as well. £8 from Halfords :)

I've never seen one of these before. It looks like a torture devise
