Atherton was a senior player/captain (?) and did the dirty work himself like a man. He didn’t get a kid to do it for him.

If you’re going to cheat, do it with integrity.

Plus - he was using the dirt to dry his fingers, not rubbing it on the ball. He said so, so it must be true.

As with everything else, we took something you lot had done and did it better.

I'd watching cricket again if it was like the good old days...
