Have fun y'all. I would join you, but I'm in Sonthofen for the start of the Tour Transalp today. Maybe one day I'll actually be at home one Badgers ride weekend.

Royal Ascot.. not only ruining the lives of horses but also mine right now. I need a car.

Happened to me this week too. Ended up going to Epping instead.

Having lived 10 minutes away from Ascot for 6 years you'd think I'd remember when to stay clear as well.. But I was very lucky and got the train as planned.
Now I'm here though and want to avoid the messy drunks on the way back, I'm tempted to stay and ride Swinley tomorrow too, if anyone cares to join! -

Could you ride back along the river?

I managed to get to Ash Vale so heading back that way.
@BareNecessities hope thetford was fun! I'm starting to feel more excited than nervous about TORQ now. -

That was well good, innit. What's up with that sand though?

It was, thanks :-)
I'm starting to feel more excited than nervous about TORQ now.
I've just gone into a state of denial about it...

"Oh, you know, just being a tree"

Wicked day. Slept well. Thanks guys!

Thanks to @TomvanHalen for being me yesterday ( that must be truly awful ). I was very much of the "I'll just follow" mentality for most of the day.
That, and I'm shit at finding my way around, unless I'm on my own.

How weather-proof are the marked trails at Thetford these days? I haven't ridden there for about 10 years and back then they were pretty over-used and eroded.
-
• #499
They're not bad. I did the Lime Burner route a couple of weeks ago and while there are some sections which are eroded it's all pretty rideable. If you go into Brandon Country Park on the other side of the main road there's some good unmarked singletrack too. Don't be afraid to head off the marked routes - the best stuff isn't on them.

Thanks @danstuff, rode on that side plenty back when I lived nearby. Always guided by someone who knew the forest better than I though. Might have to get lost this weekend.
out, feel terrible for some reason
