ikr!
Compass are ok, gravel kings are better, g one speeds are MAGIC! Don't even consider anything if you are already on the best.

If there is, I've yet to find one. If I could I'd G up all my bikes, but I only have one.

Been scouring the web to no answer, has anyone tried 650b on a Planet x XLS/XLA, if so how big can you go?
It's currently only really usable with 33c and a knobbly 35c will rub the frame.
Curious if a 1.5/1.75 inch (38c/44cc) could be done with 650b. -

Bought some of those £7.50 rims from PlanetX and got the wheels built up, and I can't get the damn tyres on! (Marathon Supreme 1.5")
I can get the tyres on without tubes, but not with tubes - I've never struggled before, but they are beating me at the moment. Any advice?

Hairdryer? Has helped me get stubborn tyres on in the past

Wheels in the freezer, tyres in the oven.

chain in the dishwasher?

Don't be silly. It goes in the washing machine with the cassette.
-

Tubes in the dishwasher might help, don't people use washing up liquid to help get the tyres on?

I've managed to get one on, then it immediately went flat. Not something I should be cursing at before beddybyes.

Stupid question but are the defo 650B, not 650A or something?
If not could be a good contender for tubeless?

These rims and these tyres. I might be missing something but it's driving me up the wall!
I entertained the idea of tubeless last night, but it seems like a pretty pricey set up and i'd like to occasionally like to swap out for some knobblies.
I do wonder if it's the tyres - has anyone got a spare 27.5/650b tyre in South West that I could try out on a wheel?
Can't even send back the Marathon Supremes i've bought either as i've (in my infinite wisdom) peeled the reflective tape off the sides.

Haha, I went at it with shoe laces last night after watching this very video. Don't have ratchets to toe straps either.

thaaaanks this is the video I've been trying to find again after trying to explain several times on here how to get stubborn tyres on.

What guards are people using for 650b in 700c frames? Radials not cutting the mustard.
-
• #1746
700c Longboards, fender line is acceptable for me. 26" GBs on the GF's bike, probably looks better but less coverage (short ones).

Velo Orange 650b specific.
Probably a bit retrogrouch for your Genesis.

Would anyone like two tubeless ready Specialized Fast Trak Control 2"?
£10 for the pair.
Mounted and ridden on once, before I realised the clearance was not mud friendly, they were excellent otherwise, perfect for gravel / dryish conditions if you have the room.
Lfgss buyers are dead.
