He managed to impregnate a women..
-
• #1478
I'm afraid I don't know what that refers to. Is there a joke in 'a women' or just a typo?
-
• #1479
Im saying he made a baby. He got that right.

Kristof Allegaertf
I'm not sure that's right...

Both Abdullah and Rhino are Cycling Maven's riding mates and are in many of his videos. I'm surprised he's not vlogging about the race.
-
• #1482
Is it on his paid channel stuff, perhaps?
-
• #1483
Paid channel, v logger? Get in the sea.
-
• #1484
paid channel
No idea. I'm happy to watch a few ads but doubt I'll ever pay for that kind of thing.
-
• #1485
Seems as though Abdullah stopped longer because he was with his other half.
Is that in the spirit?

• #1486
No...
Source?

It's a patreon thing. He makes content. Different subscriber levels get different stuff.
Why not? If he makes good stuff and peeps pay to watch it.
It's like the cycling podcast subscriber model.

So long as there was no assistance, it's fine.
Depends what they mean by "with" :)

I noticed it because I really enjoyed his interview with one of the top Aussie coaches and it said something about more available at...

Sod off. You know that meeting up with a relative during a race is way over the line of assistance. Might as well get a tow from a sticky bottle. I believe under tcr rules it’s allowed at checkpoints (need to confirm), but if you pre plan a meeting then that’s taking the piss.
In the interest of clarity. I did bump into my parents on one tcr (as did most other reacers) but I didn’t seek them out. They came and found me at a supermarket as I ate lunch on the pavement. The race went through their tiny French village. And I made my peace with it as they cheered on nearly every racer. So it wasn’t special for just I. And I was in 136th place having had 36h out and deemed my ‘race’ over.

I just imagined some amateur blogger. If it’s decent content (like cycling podcast) then fair enough. Cycling podcast is great.

Sounded off to me.

What about all the yanks with family coming out with banners and shit? They don't get any support (other than a mental boost I guess) and there's nothing said about it.
You don't rip into Janey for meeting her mates during TABR, for example.

• #1494
Obviously it depends on if you value the content. I haven't got time for even more cycling bullshit in my life so I avoid most of that stuff.
-
• #1495
I didn’t know she did that...
-
• #1496
Almost every blog of TABR I've read though has the rider 'breaking the rules' in my mind though so perhaps it's not a great example.
Not following race route, calling parents for help/weather reports, meeting friends/family, booking shit in advance, etc.

It’s a problem with tabr for me, very vague rules and no enforcement. I did mention it in passing once.
-
• #1498
Got the full thing, I’m not on Facebook?
-
• #1499
Problem is half the field is really just touring and last year Nathan was away so there wasn't any enforcement that I'm aware of. In previous editions he'd issued penalties for drafting, penalties for not following the route, Donnach self-DQd for asking on Facebook for help.
Also, unlike TCR there's no crowd of official dot watchers validating stuff.

Its just a picture of her waving him off from Melbourne. Two seconds.
Can that Cyclingg Mavenn character get anything right? :)
