Why does the dark night does such a detour? Night shift ?

When the race got cancelled he decided to do the route originally ridden by Opperman.

In 1937 Opperman set a record fastest time of 13 days, 10 hours and 11 minutes for the 2,875 miles transcontinental crossing from Fremantle to Sydney, over long stretches of rutted tracks and through soft sand where he had to carry his bicycle in searing heat. Sometimes he fell asleep while riding, and crashed.

A rider, dale tan, crashed after being forced off the road by a close pass from a car with caravan. He has road rash and his bike won't shift properly (most likely he has bent his hanger and didn't bring a spare!)

This was on Facebook.

It doesn't seem that the driver stopped.

Race at the front has gone into a rhythm. Abdullah resting longer at the moment and the chasing group of Dan, Stephane, Rhino seem to have upped the tempo a bit, so maybe they can use each other to catch up a little or they start to ride for 2nd, 3rd etc. The fixed battle continues; Joseph not letting Pawel get too distant. Also a rider called Vikram has moved through the pack nicely after a late start. He will be up with Joseph/Pawel shortly.

The dark Knight made a fool of himself last year by throwing a massive Facebook strop when he was told he couldn't book hotels in advance

Re: the battery discussion a while back. I've since plugged in my supposedly defunct Anker battery packs into my computer and they've all recharged. Now am I meant to carry a PC around with me the next time I do one of these things?

Heath '4th in the world on Strava' Ryan isn't actually riding IPWR so I'm not sure why he's on the tracker and being called '3rd place', etc.

He’s actually 130km behind. Amazing how people can’t read graphs huh.

If your living is derived from bike chat and you have to sustain a family off of it, you’d surely try get it right.

Wait, but you've made a mistake there. He said Abdullah's 12 hours ahead, so you need to calculate Abdullah on 238 hours and Kristof on 226. Easy peasy.
